    British Sandwich Week is fast approaching, taking place this year between the 11th-17th May. During this week, The British Sandwich Association is planning to launch a campaign designed to promote the positive attributes of sandwiches and the importance of taking a break to buy one at lunchtime.

    Last year, Mission Foods commissioned foodservice researchers Technomic to investigate what consumers currently get up to on their lunch breaks. The study found that the average lunch break lasts approximately 37 minutes, with the majority of workers continuing with their duties through lunch or eating at their desks1. When consumers do venture out at lunchtime, they’re most likely to grab a sandwich, with 75% of Britons admitting to the humble sandwich being their standard lunch choice2. But, with this being said, consumers increasingly strive to try something new and at Mission Foods we provide the perfect solution.
